Sarah is a high school senior completing her work towards her Girl Scout Gold Award.
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest earned award in Girl Scouting. (Similar to the Eagle Scout Award) “I have always been physically active. When I was 13 I had a serious sports injury, which required months of physical therapy. I had to stay very determined to gain my strength and flexibility and become active again. This experience has led me to want to study to become a physical therapist. By organizing this event along with my passion for health, I hope to raise awareness to the need to take care of one’s body, to stay active and to have fun doing so.” This project seemed perfect for my Girl Scout Gold Award Project. Working with friends and the city of Clayton my goal is to make this an annual community event. |
